Fall Foof and Fluff.

First of all, Peter is not on his knees. My BFF, Karen gave me a couple of sunflower sprouts in little peat pots to put outside. I just handed them off to Peter, and voila!
Seriously, have you ever seen a sunflower so big?
I also love that it's in the sign bed right on the road... it's drawn quite a following.

So this post is again, this and that. We got in more of these FABULOUS vests.
Linen... washer, dryer... put it on. No fussing here.

I foofed and fluffed today... it was a great time to do so seeing as how we had 78.00 in the till at the end of the day. Gotta love the week after Labor Day weekend.
However, the linen napkins I've been waiting for arrived today.
These napkins are 15.00 each. I know, I know, but they are made of a very heavy linen
and wash and dry like a charm. They will also last a lifetime, and could be handed down if desired.
I do love the mercury pendant lamps!

A closer look at the napkins, did I mention they are huge?
As far as a great vintage find, check out this scale. I've seen a kajillion of these, but not one as pretty or nearly as large.

Again, in the vintage department we have these little jars. Adorable with silver lids and a place where a spoon would have gone. Anyone? Someone suggested sugar.... hmm I don't know.

Clevah, again.
No words necessary.
(I'm the only person reading this, right?)

A great vintage phone. I have two of them right now.
Just love them as decoration.
Did anyone ever have those nightmares when you were trying to dial a phone number in distress and you could never put your fingers in the right holes?
I digress.

I just came across these vintage wooden printing blocks.

Great linen bolsters in as well.

Just a glance at the shop from today... I'm thinking it's time for the snake story.
The "snake story" happened the second year we were in business.
I still quiver/cackle when I think about it.
Stay tuned.

Fun post! Is this your shop? It's WONDERFUL and beautifully decorated. My guess on the jars: Could they be jam/preserve jars? Maybe they were "canned" then when it was time to eat them, the lid was exchanged for one of these...? Maybe...?
Blessings,
Patricia :o)

Patricia, I think your guess on the jars is about right. They are sooooo small is the only thing. About three inches high and one inch around.
Yes it's my shop, and thanks for visiting! I will be over shortly to see what you're up to.

Love that scale; it's got personality! The shop looks great. I think jam jars too, although I've also heard them referred to as mustard jars.

Bet it's quiet up there this week!

LoVe your whole vignette with the Scale... I took at least 5 pics of that scale when we were up last week!!! The side lettering is just incredible!*!*! Enjoy Fall in beautiful Door County... Maybe I'll buzz up for the day and we can have lunch later in the month... Hugs - Jeanine, ChiPPy!-SHaBBy!

Are you in Sister Bay year round or just tourist season?
I won't be getting up this month, but maybe for the big October weekend. Would love to visit the store.

We are also going with jam jars, maybe used in a small diner or on the family table.
