Viva's Vintage Market
This was THE BEST
day at the shop. I cannot believe how lucky a girl I am to be surrounded
by artists and creative souls who's work makes my heart just beam. The weather could
not have been better and the food so delicious. What's not to love about strolling, shopping, discovering, being totally inspired as well as eating Door County
strawberry and blue berry pie? Thank you all vendors and customers alike for making one of
my dreams unfold right before my eyes.
Thank you to Dorothy, Mary Beth, Jody, Katie, Megan, Tracy, Carol, Beth, Jane and Jane,
Teresa, Jeanine, Peter.... and to my Mom for always pitching in when I need her!
Teresa from "Assemblage" treated us to all kinds of her special art pieces. Also for sale was an amazing amount of ephemera for your own art work. It was eye candy!
Here's Jeanine from "Chippy Shabby" putting the finishing details on her booth before opening.
Loba brought handmade fabric hats and hand painted scarves.
What fun watching people try them on and look ADORABLE!
Watched lots of well dressed heads leave the show today.
Carol's prized vanity.... SOLD!
Carol and I.... we just had a ball. We are so proud at how our market
has grown and evolved. We couldn't have done it without each other.
(we were a lot happier than we look in this picture, and I am A LOT skinnier)
Honestly. When I was watching the vendors unpack, it was like Santa had arrived.
How cute is this? More of Assemblage.
In the far right, you can see John trying to barter with Katie and Megan. Of course they
would have none of it. So he caved and brought home that sign right above their heads.
It says " SELF SERV. @ STAND"
We are taking down our pot rack above the island in our kitchen and hanging it
there. What was I thinking leaving my mucked up pots and pans for
everyone to see?
These photos are not in order... here it is at 7:30 am. We can never remember how
to set up the tents. Luckily we all figure it out AGAIN, together.
Here is Tracy movin' and groovin' trying to unpack and make
it look fabulous! Of course it did.
Carol's Cruiser. John and I bought that Duffex sign right away to hang in our barn.
Carol is legendary in that car. When she parks it out front, we get a lot more
customers coming in.....
Jane's wonderfully sweet aprons swaying in the breeze...
A box of treasures just waiting to be unpacked.
Good Lord.... Jeanine peeled ALL of this out of her mid sized
SUV!!! This woman knows how to pack. Her booth was a cream colored dream.
Just part of the day. We had so much fun watching our
regular customers enjoying the market. Not only was it a sale, it was
a social event with lots of happy people.
Oh look, here it is again! Sorry.
Late in the day... you can see Jody's booth with her cute
flip flop accessories.
Mary Beth Meade getting everything set to sell her wonderful reworked
vintage jewelry.
Jeanine's Chippy Shabby....
And a good time was had by all.......
